1966 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible
Presented here is an exceptional, numbers-matching, fully
documented original 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible - one of
only 372 produced with the high-performance 327/350 horsepower
engine and factory air conditioning. This rare C2 Sting Ray remains
an outstanding example of authenticity and preservation, retaining
its original factory-installed components and factory-applied
Ermine White paint over a striking red interior.
Power comes from the original, numbers-matching 327/350hp V8. The
odometer shows 70947 miles, approximately 900 miles since the
rebuild. It is mated to its M21 close-ratio 4-speed manual
transmission and 3.70 Positraction rear axle, delivering the pure,
factory-correct mid-year driving experience. Meticulous efforts and
manhours went into rebuilding original parts and components instead
of replacing them to preserve factory accuracy. Casting numbers
have been photographed and documented, with a complete file of
supporting images and records included with the car.
This Corvette retains numerous important factory features,
including a removeable hardtop, power windows, side exhaust,
emergency flashers, AM/FM radio, matching date-coded auxiliary
hardtop, original teak steering wheel, original spare tire,
original jack & handle, original Protect-O-Plate, original warranty
booklet, window sticker, and owner's manual-each confirming its
pedigree and provenance. The factory air conditioning has been
professionally converted to modern refrigerant for improved
reliability while maintaining full originality. Further
underscoring its authenticity, this remarkable example also retains
its original date-coded glass, chrome, along with its factory
radiator, surge tank, brakes, calipers, starter, power brake
booster, and reservoir. The intake manifold, exhaust manifold,
carburetor, air cleaner, ignition coil, distributor, and even door
weather stripping remain original to the car, showcasing its
exceptional level of preservation and factory correctness.
Every aspect of this car, from the original exterior paint and
precise body alignment to the immaculate engine bay and
undercarriage, reflects careful preservation and authenticity
rather than replacement or modification.
