This gorgeous 1986 Chevrolet C10 Silverado is a perfect example of
a fun cruiser. Its bright red paint job is eye-catching from
anywhere. The stance from the lowering kit, along with the
beautiful chrome wheels and front bumper, makes it stand out even
more. All the other shiny pieces and emblems do their job just
right. The cowl induction hood is the perfect size, and the chrome
tailpipes stick out just the right amount past the very custom,
great-looking roll pan. This is a beautiful restoration.
The interior has a lot of red that matches the outside. The door
panels, dash pad, carpet, and headliner are all in good condition.
The red vinyl bench seat with a wide vertical white stripe going
down the middle is also in good condition. The steering wheel and
steering column appear to be original. The gauge cluster retains
its original pattern, but shiny gauge bezels and Dakota gauges are
installed and look very good. There is a new radio installed, but
it keeps its original appearance. Overall, this is just a very nice
redone interior.
The engine bay looks very clean painted in black. The 5.7-liter
Hencho 350 V8 crate engine has a nice set of polished Chevy valve
covers and a chrome Chevy air cleaner. For fuel delivery, a
4-barrel Holley carburetor sits on top of an Edelbrock intake.
Mated to this engine setup is a TH350 3-speed automatic
transmission that connects to a 10-bolt rear axle. The
factory-style suspension has been lowered in both the front and
rear. The front uses coil springs and shocks, while the rear
operates with leaf springs and shocks. The wheels are 20-inch
American Racing wheels wrapped in 235/45ZR20 tires up front and
295/40ZR20 tires in the rear. For brakes, the C10 gets its stopping
power from front power disc brakes and rear power drum brakes.
Shorty headers by Headmen start the exhaust system, which runs to
dual exhaust that flows through a set of Flowmaster mufflers.
