Classic Car Addict is proud to present this 1972 Chevrolet C10
short bed for sale in our Mesa, Arizona showroom. The second
generation of the C/K series is a range of trucks that was
manufactured by General Motors. Marketed by both the Chevrolet and
GMC divisions from 1967 to 1972 model years, this generation was
given the "Action Line" moniker by General Motors (the
first-generation C/K did not receive such a name). As with its
predecessor, the second-generation C/K included full-size pickup
trucks, chassis cab trucks, and medium-duty commercial trucks.
'
Custom interior was completed by Bobby Griffey (Knoxville, TN) with
Griffey seats, Boyd leather steering wheel, Mercedes wool carpet,
sculpted tweed headliner and custom center console. The steering
wheel frames a 100-mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level,
amperage, coolant temperature, oil pressure and a 5k-rpm
tachometer. The five-digit odometer shows 7,949 miles since the
restoration. Additional appointments include R12 air conditioning,
power steering, tilt wheel, and an AM/FM/cassette player.
The C10 underwent a complete ground up restoration by CA Classics
(Curt Austin out of Rockford, IL). The short-bed body is finished
in orange with black tailgate lettering, but from factory it was
white, red/orange and white. Details include paint matched dual
side sport mirrors, tinted glass, and black-accented side moldings.
The 20" black American Racing wheels are wrapped in Sumitomo HTR
245/45R20 up front and 275/40R20 out back with DOT of 2019. Braking
is handled by Wilwood 6 piston front power disc and Wilwood 4
piston rear power discs.
A 5.7-liter V8 high output GM crate motor with a four-bolt main was
installed and it sends power to the rear wheels through a turbo 400
automatic transmission. Polished Corvette style tuned port
injections, pulleys, brackets, alternator, valve covers, AC
compressor, and serpentine belt system were all installed by Street
and Performance. A service parts identification (SPID) sticker is
still attached in the inside glovebox that lists factory colors and
equipment. It features dual FloMaster exhaust.
The Chevy will be sold on a clean Arizona title. Call Classic Car
