The 1960 El Camino carried a distinct new look compared to its
flamboyant 1959 predecessor. The wild batwing rear fins were toned
down in favor of more restrained, horizontal tailfins with dual
round taillights. Up front, the El Camino received a full-width
horizontal grille, quad headlights, and a cleaner, more squared-off
profile. Its sweeping roofline flowed smoothly into the pickup bed,
giving it a unique balance of style and function. With production
of 14,163 it was the end of the first generation until reintroduced
in 1964. You don't get anything cooler than the lines of a 60 El
Camino.
