Here's a 1979 Ford F-150 Ranger XLT 4x4 long-bed that looks mean,
cool, and distinguished all at the same time. The Medium Blue
Metallic base is set off perfectly by a Silver Metallic stripe that
runs down the middle of the truck's body. The chrome bumpers shine
bright, the tin grille presents itself well, and the big wheels and
tires make this truck look like a frightening menace. All of the
shiny accents and badges look good, and the truck bed has a
spray-on bed liner-always a plus. The tinted back window and
taillight covers add character to the truck and provide the
finishing touches to the exterior.
A lot of the exterior blue carries into the interior, all of which
looks very well put together. The door cards are in good shape, the
dashboard is crack-free, and the floor is rubber, making for an
easy clean. New white and blue seat covers match up amazingly with
the rest of the interior. And there's more blue in the gauge
cluster, as all of the gauges are blue LED. There is a Pioneer head
unit with AM/FM/Aux and Bluetooth radio, and below that on the
floor is the four-wheel-drive engagement lever.
Moving this beast around is a 351 cubic-inch V8 with a single
2-barrel carburetor. The engine connects to a 3-speed automatic
transmission. The suspension is a stock-style lifted setup with
front coil springs and trailing arms, and installed on the rear,
there are leaf springs, shocks, and trailing arms. Sitting at all
four corners are 15-inch slotted wheels wrapped in a set of big
33x12.50R15LT tires. Stopping this beast are front power disc
brakes and rear power drum brakes. Stock manifolds, dual exhaust,
and a set of Flowmasters make this thing sound as aggressive as it
looks.
