In the world of classic muscle cars, few names elicit more
intimidation and respect than the mighty Chevelle. While not all
trims are created equal, this 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 427 sits
at the very top of the GM food chain. Fully repainted in its subtly
sleek black with a complementing black vinyl hardtop, this midnight
marauder motif shows off the Chevelle's powerful lines and
intimidating stance from any angle.
The black-on-black theme continues inside, where we find a
restored, correctly styled vinyl interior. A center console
separates a pair of bucket seats, while a power-assisted four-spoke
steering wheel sits just before a seemingly underrated 120 mph
horizontal speedometer. A pair of white-faced auxiliary gauges sits
under the dashboard, displaying oil pressure and water temperature.
In contrast, the cabin temperature can be easily cooled by the
fully functioning air conditioning. Gone is the original radio, and
in its place is a modern Kenwood AM/FM/CD player with Bluetooth
connectivity.
Under the hood, we find a fantastic GM Performance 427 cubic-inch
ZZ crate V-8. This 430-horsepower motor is topped with a
four-barrel Holley carb which feeds that hungry big block before
sending power out through long tube headers and ultimately out via
a FlowMaster dual exhaust. Those ponies get routed through a TH400
three-speed automatic transmission before being sent out to a
12-bolt rear.

This 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 427 rides on a factory-style
suspension and power brakes. Big, staggered Ridler wheels measuring
18 inches up front and 20 inches in the rear are shod in Z-rated
rubber. Though this car was born a true SS396, it has benefited
from several decades of technological advancements in the form of
its current 427, and we are quite sure one of the unintended side
effects of that upgrade will be eliciting ear-to-ear smiles
wherever it goes. So if you want to own one of the meanest muscle
cars ever to roam the earth, this is the one you've been waiting
for. Call today!
