Melanson Motors is proud to offer this lovingly restored 1986 Toyota MR2. This MR2 started life at Woodhaven Toyota in Winnipeg, Manitoba. However, through the 1990's and 2000's, the car spent most of its life in British Columbia and Alberta. It underwent a restoration spanning 2018-2020. This Toyota was disassembled and repainted in its original Super Red color. The paint is show quality with very few flaws. The original interior was removed, cleaned and restored. Before re-installing the interior, Kilmat sound proofing was added to the floors and doors. A Velex Bluetooth capable stereo with new speakers and a subwoofer was installed neatly. The engine was removed and re-sealed. A new timing chain and timing gears were installed. A new clutch was installed. The suspension was upgraded with Polyurethane bushings, Eibach springs and Koni shocks. New EBC brakes were also installed. The exhaust features a stainless steel muffler with quad exhaust tips. The headlights and fog lights are upgraded to LED. Photos of the restoration are included in the sale. The restoration took place at 136,000kms and this MR2 is presented today with just 146,000 original kilometers. The engine bay, front storage compartment, and rear storage compartment are very clean and the car is completely rust free. It rides on 15x7" six spoke FAST wheels wrapped in 185/55 Firestone Firehawk tires. The original Toyota wheels are included in the sale.
