Life is too short to drive boring cars and there is no chance of
being bored behind the wheel of this monster of a 1956 Chevrolet
150 street rod. The whole classic car hobby revolves around cars
that make us feel things that modern cars can't deliver. Whether it
be the reverb from the exhaust thumping in your chest, the g-force
setting you back in your seat, or the smile quickly growing across
your face, this 1956 Chevy is sure to make you feel everything you
should when driving one of these well built street rods. This 1956
Chevrolet 150 benefits from a recently completed frame-off
street/strip style restoration that presents very well. This Chevy
is finished in a stunning Black exterior paint that shines very
well and is in very good condition throughout. Complimented the
150's Black exterior is its factory style chrome and stainless
trim, factory style "Chevrolet" emblems and a set of Billet
Specialties wheels wrapped in Mickey Thompson Sportsman tires in
the front and Mickey Thompson Street ET's in the rear. This great
Tri-Five features a custom Black leather interior that is in
excellent condition throughout and is a perfect blend of street and
strip. The interior features a number of custom touches including
the diamond pleated interior door and quarter panels, leather
wrapped center console w/ B&M Pro Ratchet shifter, Procar
bucket seats and 4-point harnesses, dash mounted Painless
performance switch panel, dash mounted Autogauge tachometer,
polished tilt steering column, rear seat delete, and 6-point roll
cage. Powering this monster of a Chevrolet 150 is a very well built
454 cubic inch big-block V8 that has been bored and stroked to 496
cubic inches. Atop of the 496 cubic inch V8 sits a Hampton 8-71
blower and dual Pro Systems 4-barrel carburetors. This potent
combination delivers more than enough power and torque to rocket
this Chevrolet down the road with ease. Backing the supercharged
496 cubic inch V8 is a built Turbo-Hydramatic 400 3-speed automatic
transmission with a manual valve body. Transferring power to the
rear tires is a Moser 12-bolt rear end equipped with 3.73:1 final
drive gears. This beautiful Chevrolet delivers an intoxicating
big-block V8 note breathing through the fenderwell headers feeding
the custom side-exit exhaust. Accompanying the exhaust is the whine
of the 8-71 blower, which is sure to not only put a smile on your
face but also on the face of anyone lucky enough to be in the
vicinity. This well-built Chevy has very good street manners and
handles the road very well thanks to its CPP tubular upper and
lower front control arms, front and rear anti-sway bars, 4-link
rear suspension and front and rear adjustable coil-over shocks.
Bringing this Chevrolet 150 to a halt is the 4-wheel Aerospace
Components disc brake system. If you are in the market for a very
well built Tri-Five Chevrolet that is just as at home cruising down
the boulevard as it is rocketing down the drag strip and would
present very well at any cruise-in or car show, then you will not
want to miss out on this fantastic 1956 Chevrolet 150 street
rod.
