1978 Jeep CJ5 powered by a 304 AMC V8 engine paired with a 3-speed
manual transmission. Steel body, with the addition of composite
front and rear fender flares. Painted bright yellow with a
saddle-colored interior. With locking hubs, chrome wheels, and
white letter 35x12.5x15 BF Goodrich tires with substantial tread
remaining (white letters are in). Under the hood, a Holley
four-barrel carburetor, new carb kit, headers with new header
gaskets, aluminum radiator, and chrome valve covers. The brakes are
in excellent condition, rated at 90% front and rear. Bucket seats
up front and bench in the rear, in great shape, and a chrome and
black aftermarket steering wheel. Manual 4x4 transfer case, tilt
steering column, side-exiting exhaust, and padded roll bar matching
the seat and dash color. Amp, temp, and oil pressure gauges
reading. Stereo, speedometer and fuel gauge are inop. Only minor
imperfections and touch-up paint areas are noted. The clutch and
shifting give a nice positive feel, and the jeep is easy to drive
on the street. An enjoyable exhaust note thanks to side exit
exhaust, a rugged and capable off-road vehicle.
