Here's a cool plain farm truck. This 1949 F-1 Patina short-bed is
old-school, but full of character-something you can drive around
and not have to worry about getting it dirty. The paint job is a
light blue, obviously applied a long time ago. The front chrome
grille still shines, and the headlights look to be fairly updated.
The front and rear bumpers are stock and still doing their job,
with the rear bumper equipped with a trailer hitch. The wood on the
sides of the bed railings looks to have been updated more recently.
The truck has nice cream-colored steel wheels with shiny center
caps, and the truck bed is still ready to haul whatever you want to
throw in there.
As you would expect, there is not much going on in the interior.
There's a nice old-school steering wheel and a good-looking gauge
cluster with a tachometer and oil, amps, and temp gauges. An
aftermarket JVC radio with AM/FM/AUX and Bluetooth has been added.
The headliner looks to be in pretty good shape, as does the carpet.
There is a nice step-side to help you climb into the cab, and other
than that, the interior isn't bad for its age. And like the
exterior, it has plenty of character.
The engine bay looks well put together. An aluminum radiator sits
in front of a gloss-black painted 350 cubic-inch V8 with a Holley
4-barrel carburetor. This engine is mated to a 3-speed manual
transmission. The suspension is equipped with a 1972 Chevy truck
front end with A-arms and coil springs, while leaf springs and
shocks control the rear end. This Ford rides on 15-inch
period-correct painted steel wheels with shiny center caps, wrapped
in P215/75R15 front tires and P235/75R15 rear tires. The truck has
drum brakes at all four corners, stock-style exhaust manifolds, and
a dual exhaust system with aftermarket mufflers.

A truck like this may not be flashy or very fast, but one thing is
for sure-they don't make them like this anymore. At 76 years old,
this 1949 Ford F-1 Patina is still trotting around. Maybe it's
America's love affair with trucks. For more info, call today!
