1971 Mercury Cougar convertible - only 1,722 convertibles ever
produced , with this particular one being .... ONE OF ONE ! Kind of
like Tigger , it's the only one !! According to the Marti Report ,
this Cougar is the only one ever built with this equipment and
color combination . It has the Cleveland 351 4bbl V-8 engine , the
C6 transmission , air conditioning , am radio with an 8 track
player and tilt column . It is Pastel Blue , code 921-A , with the
White Knitted Vinyl bucket seats , code 5W , and a white power
convertible top . The Styled Steel Wheels completed it's
singularity of the 3 that were ever built with this color
combination . Lady owned , who purchased it from the original owner
, always garage kept , this trophy winning Cougar shows 58,800
miles , reported as actual to me , it runs and drives great , still
shows very well and would enhance anyone's collection . First place
trophy for "TOP CAT AWARD" at the 2016 Western Regional Cougar Club
of America's show in Oakley California , second place overall
finish . One repaint to the original Pastel Blue some 20 years ago
combined with original interior and factory equipment makes this
beauty an absolute survivor !!
