Folks say the Gen1 Camaro was one of Chevrolet's most iconic
offerings. The 1969 model was the final year of that
first-generation Camaro, featuring a more aggressive and sculpted
design than its 1967-68 predecessors, with flared wheel arches, a
wider stance, new grille and new taillights.
SS Tribute-
This nicely restored 1969 Camaro "SS Tribute" is a solid example of
that enduring classic. Though not a factory SS model, it has
virtually all the visuals included in the SS package.
Good Looks And Appearance-
The professional 2-stage respray of Lemans Blue (original color) is
ideal for the Camaro and the Tuxedo Black hood/deck stripes add
perfect accents. The finish is in very good overall condition, but
please note there are some minor flaws. Appearance elements of the
SS include cowl induction raised hood, front air dam/rear spoiler,
simulated rear fender louvers, SS emblems in front/rear facias and
bright roof drip moldings. A restored black vinyl interior features
a full console w/SS analog gauge package, factory in-dash
tachometer, Hurst Comp Plus shifter, tinted windows and an AM/FM
sound system.
Big Block Power-
Horsepower is provided by a big block 454ci, completely built,
nicely dressed and housed in a well-designed engine compartment. It
is fitted with Weiand Street Warrior aluminum intake, 750cfm
dual-feed Holley carburetor, performance street cam and tube
headers - this Big Rat sounds awesome! Torque is delivered through
a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission to a 10-bolt differential with
multi-leaf springs for a V8 Camaro.
Solid Base Underneath-
The solid chassis features power steering, power disc/drum brakes
and 15" chromed GM rally wheels that mount BFGoodrich Radial T/A
tires. (A full set of period-correct Cragar S/S mags are also
included.)
This handsome Camaro is equally at home at a downtown parade on
Saturday morning or testing the theories of acceleration on
Saturday night. It is a handsome piece of Bowtie history.
