In the long and illustrious lineage of the Corvette, the C3
generation still stands as the longest-running iteration of Chevy's
halo car. This 1982 Chevrolet Corvette Collector Edition represents
the final year of the C3 and holds a special place in the hearts
and minds of enthusiasts everywhere. With its fully repainted
Silver Beige Metallic PPF-protected front fenders, bumper, and
custom functionally vented hood, this multi-award-winning Corvette
is truly a Collector Edition.
Pop off this car's T-tops, and you'll be treated to an inviting and
all-original Silver Beige leather interior featuring supportive and
plush bucket seats separated by a center console armrest, giving
this car a true cockpit feel. A three-spoke wood-rimmed
power-assisted steering wheel sits in front of a matching set of
big analog gauges, including an 85 mph speedometer and a 7,000 rpm
tachometer. In typical C3 fashion, a five-pod cluster of gauges
sits atop the custom AM/FM/AUX stereo head unit, which also offers
Bluetooth connectivity through four brand-new speakers. Power
locks, mirrors, seats, windows, air conditioning, and cruise
control offer all the modern amenities anyone could hope for in an
early 1980s sports car.
Under that custom-vented, front-hinged hood, we find a
383-cubic-inch stroker V-8 from West Coast Engines. With its block,
intake, and valve covers painted in the same Silver Beige Metallic
as the exterior, this potent small block pumps out an impressive
405 horsepower through a custom true-dual exhaust and trick
side-exit exhaust. That power is routed through a new Hughes
Performance 700R4 four-speed overdrive automatic transmission,
complete with all-new trans lines.
