Here’s an opportunity to own a frame-off restored 1931 Essex 3-window Challenger Coupe hot rod that is extremely rare. The custom paint is Wimbledon white and gun metal gray and in excellent condition. This is one you won’t see another one like it at the car show or anywhere else for that matter. It runs and drives like a dream and is a blast to cruise.
Under the hood and body, it has a freshly rebuilt 1965 Chevelle 283 V8 with a mild cam, MSD electronic ignition distributor, stainless polished headers with custom Flow Master exhaust that gives it just the right throat but not too loud. It’s cooled by a 4-row aluminum radiator with thermostat controlled electric fan. The automatic transmission is a turbo 400 with a shift kit and it’s pushed by a narrowed 9-inch rear end. The suspension is a 4 link with adjustable coil-overs in the rear and a 4-link drop front axle with spring over, rack & pinion steering and front disc brakes. I had a custom-made stainless-steel fuel tank so it will never rust, battery relocated to the rear inside the rumble seat area and brand-new American Racing torq-thrust wheels and staggered tires.
Moving inside there is all new wiring harness, chrome steering column with tilt wheel, chrome pedals, window and door handles, custom gauges, touch screen bluetooth stereo with rear camera and extra cushioned bench seat. The red interior ties it all together from front to the back rumble seat. This is an incredible car to drive, rides very smooth and has the power to get up and go when needed.
