1968 PONTIAC GTO PHS DOCS, # MATCHING 400, FACTORY 4-SPEED This
1968 Pontiac GTO looks exceptionally nice in its factory color,
Nightshade Green, code V. Looking down both sides it is straight.
There are no flaws or stress cracks on the front Endura bumper. The
hideaway headlights work as they should. The front grills are in
excellent shape. All the stainless trim was either replaced or
polished. The door handles, emblems and mirror look like new. The
door jambs are painted nicely. All the door seals and weather
stripping is newer. In the rear, the bumper has been re-chromed and
has new tail light lenses. It rides on a set of 17x9 Cast Aluminum
Rally II wheels with correct black PMD center caps. The wheels are
wrapped in a set of Nitto directional radial tires 285/40/ZR17 in
the rear and 245/45/ZR17 in the front for that aggressive stance it
deserves!! The black interior looks amazing; it has all been redone
from carpet to headliner. The console is in great shape and retains
its original Hurst 4 speed shifter coming out of it with the
correct shift ball. It has front and rear seat belts. The
instrument panel has been restored and looks good as well. It still
retains its original AM radio and it works, the factory steering
wheel has been restored. Looking forward to the dash, it is very
impressive. The dash pad is nice, no cracks or warpage, the lenses
and gauges are clear and everything works as it should. The engine
compartment is nicely detailed with its completely rebuilt engine,
WT suffix code, casting # 9790071. The VIN on the engine matches
the VIN on the car. This GTO runs extremely strong. It has factory
style chrome valve covers, stock air cleaner with chrome lid, power
steering, factory exhaust manifolds, upgraded HEI ignition and a 4
core radiator. It also features a new cadmium plated brake booster
with correct portioning valve and new dual master cylinder.
Everything is very clean. The engine bay has a nice satin black
finish. The undercarriage looks great with no signs of rust or
patches. The front end suspension and steering were completely
rebuilt. It has new upper and lower A-arm bushings, newer shocks
and springs. It has a new dual exhaust system with factory style
mufflers and tail pipes running out the back. Looking up the motor
and transmission they are clean. It has a Muncie M20 4 speed manual
transmission, all new brake and fuel lines, new gas tank straps and
sending unit. It also features a 3:36 posi rear end. The trunk is
nicely detailed with a coat of spatter paint. Other features
include a trunk mat, spare tire, factory jack assembly with lug
wrench. This GTO has a lot of desirable features. It is very clean
and shows and drives well. *Please contact us for the most complete
