This is a stunning1968 Plymouth Barracuda convertible with 10,300
unknown miles on the odometer. This beautiful car is finished in
Silver and Plum Crazy Purple over a matching Silver and Purple
vinyl interior; her power convertible top is in Black vinyl. This
car is exceptional and a solid #2 on anyone's scale. Overall she is
a great driver, she looks great and will make a sound investment
with future upside potential.
Features include a power-operated convertible top, a Holley Sniper
EFI system, an Edelbrock intake manifold, electronic ignition, a
Sure-Grip differential, Hotchkis suspension components, power
steering, Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes, American Racing 17?
wheels, a Hurst shifter, Doug's headers, and a dual exhaust system
with Pypes mufflers.
The car has been repainted in two-tone Argent Silver and Plum Crazy
under previous ownership. Features include a power-operated black
convertible top, 340-S hood spears, Formula S-style badging, round
side-marker lights, chrome bumpers, split grilles, a quick-release
fuel cap, and a fender-mounted antenna. In addition, she has been
modified with a 340ci V8 mated to a four-speed manual
transmission.
Chrome-finished American Racing 17? wheels were installed in 2021
and mounted with Nitto NT555 G2 tires. The car is equipped with a
Borgeson power-steering box and Hotchkis Sport Suspension shock
absorbers and sway bars. Braking is handled by power-assisted
Wilwood calipers over drilled and slotted rotors at all four
corners.
The interior features front bucket seats and a rear bench that have
been reupholstered in gray vinyl with purple accent stripes.
Equipment includes gray carpeting, a center console, a Hurst
shifter, lap belts, carpeted floor mats, and a Holley Sniper EFI
touchscreen controller. The wiring harnesses, dashboard, and
instrumentation are said to have been replaced in 2021. The right
kick panel and seatback material are loose, and the heater and the
Solid State by Plymouth AM radio are inoperable.
The three-spoke steering wheel is equipped with a Plymouth horn
button and frames a Rallye-style 150-mph speedometer, a tachometer,
and a multifunction gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 10.4k
miles, less than 300 of which have been added since the current
owner acquired the car; true mileage is unknown.
The 340ci V8 was installed under prior ownership and has been
fitted with a Holley Sniper EFI system, an Edelbrock intake
manifold, Mallory electronic ignition, MSD ignition wires, Doug's
headers, finned Mopar Performance valve covers, and an aluminum
radiator. The car's chassis number indicates that it was originally
powered by a 225ci slant-six, and the underhood data tag has been
removed.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through an A833 four-speed manual
transmission and a Sure-Grip differential. The dual exhaust system
features Pypes mufflers and terminates near the rear axle. The car
is being sold with a clear Massachusetts title.
