2005 “Warley” Custom Convertible Limousine – One-of-One Hand-Built Coach Creation
A Life’s Dream Fulfilled.
Built in 2005 as a personal dream project, the Warley is a true one-of-one custom dual-cowl convertible limousine — a hand-built masterpiece blending pre-war grandeur with modern Ford engineering. Over $200,000 was invested to bring this design to life, resulting in a creation that stands apart as both art and automobile.
This special-construction limousine rides on an elongated Mercury Grand Marquis frame and drivetrain, powered by a 460ci Ford V8 paired with a C6 4-speed automatic transmission and BM Click-Shift floor shifter. Cooling is handled by a custom aluminum alloy radiator with an electric fan, and braking comes via front disc brakes.
The Warley’s proportions, craftsmanship, and attention to detail are extraordinary. It features ten-layer two-tone 1932 Packard–inspired paint, custom chrome wire wheels, dual side-mounted spares, and folding luggage rack. Every inch was hand-shaped and finished to perfection.
Inside, luxury is the focus. The dual passenger compartments feature:
Black Rolls-Royce Connolly leather upholstery
Teak wood dashes and trim
Wilton wool carpets throughout
Separate A/C and heating for front and rear cabins
6.5” rear display with AM/FM/CD/DVD player and Pioneer speakers
Front and rear viewing cameras
Power antenna and British Leyland accessory parts
Only ~500 miles have been driven since completion. The car runs and drives beautifully — smooth, quiet, and substantial. Comes with the original hand-typed build sheet, verifying its one-off nature.
