1968 Chevrolet Corvette convertible, in white paint complemented by
a red interior, a 350 cubic inch V8 engine, and a five-speed Tremec
manual transmission. Initially clocking around 77,000 miles at the
time of restoration in 2015, it now shows just shy of 79,000 miles.
The restoration included a rebuilt engine, a new clutch,
differential overhaul, updated suspension components, and brake
system upgrades with new rotors, calipers, master cylinder, lines,
and hoses. The gauges mostly functional, with the clock being
non-operational, while the radio powers up but does not receive
sound. Enhancements also feature Magnaflow mufflers, an electric
windshield wiper system, aluminum intake and valvecovers, and an
open element air cleaner. The paint work has a nice shiner with
minor touch-ups, and the car rides on slotted steel wheels with
Chevrolet center caps, beauty rings, and redline radial tires that
add to its authentic period-correct appearance. The black vinyl
convertible top appears in great shape with no visible rips or
tears, including a clear plastic rear window that folds neatly
under the cover. On the road the Corvette demonstrates strong
acceleration, precise and easy steering, responsive brakes, and a
flat cornering posture, emblematic of the Corvette performance.
