Up for sale this week at Canyon State Classics is this 1976 Porsche 911 S Coupe (One of 2,175) equipped with a RARE 3-Spd Sportomatic transmission and recently rebuilt #s Matching 2.7L Flat 6 engine. This is a rust free beauty that spent many years in the desert of Saudi Arabia when the owner was an Expat. This car sports Porsche signature color of Sienna Metallic on Black leather color scheme. This car retains its original engine and transmission being correct for #51 of only 160 911S Sportomatics Produced for the US Market

The following is a list of options as this 911 is currently equipped:

- 2.7L 175hp Aircooled Flat 6-Cyl - 3-Speed Sportomatic Semi-Manual Transmission - 4 Wheel Disc Brakes - 15" Staggered Porsche Fuchs Forged Alloy Wheels (Option 295) - Old Performance Tires (Good for Rollers Only) - Most Parts for Air Conditioner Included (Was a dealer installed unit) - Period Correct Vintage Blaupunkt Cassette System w/ New Speakers (Not Hooked Up) - Etc.... This Porsche's Sienna Metallic paint is recent and a good driver quality condition with some noticeable body work on the passenger rear quarter and door and was just fully buffed and hand waxed to look as good as possible for condition. The body on the car has only very minimal signs of wear and a few touched up chips. You have to give this car credit for looking this good wearing a reasonable repaint and having traveled across the planet several times. The car is arrow straight and is personally guaranteed to have never been in an accident, the car shows no major trauma on any under carriage or tub areas. I have had the car up in the air and have fully inspected for rust of any kind, and it was clear that this car was only driven in the fair weather. No rust issues are evident anywhere on the car. Lower fenders, rockers, belly pan, and spare tire area are perfect with zero rust of any kind. I put my 15+ years in the classic car business behind my inspection.

The car is riding on the original 15" Staggered Fuchs light polished alloy wheels with black centers. They are all in good condition and wrapped in very old performance radials which will need replaced before driving.

The beautiful black leather interior is correctly redone in real leather and looks great. The interior really needs no help, everything is tidy and all plastic bits and pieces are in place and good condition. The dash is clean with no major cracks and door panels with speakers are in nice shape. Again we have not put battery power to this car to test all systems since it is being sold as a project car, but we have gone to lengths to make sure nothing looks butchered or incomplete.

Mechanically, this car is being sold as a project. We do not want to go down the road of getting the Sportomatic system up and functional and the vehicle was been sitting not running for about 5 years. We do have a $14k receipts for the engine being gone through a euro shop being rebuilt at that time and compression has been checked and engine turns over by hand so we anticipate a smooth install with a expert Porsche mechanic at the helm of the project. We purchased the car from the estate of the previous owner after it got hung up in a shop that couldn't complete the work to get it back on the road.
