Here is one of those beautiful tribute muscle cars that helps out
car enthusiasts who maybe can't find their true dream car because
they're so rare. This is the perfect solution. This 1973 Ford
Mustang Mach 1 Convertible Tribute is done just right. The stripes
and decals are correct, the chin spoiler, hood, and wheels are true
to the Mach 1, and everything else looks spot-on as well. The black
convertible top looks good when it's up, and when it's down, this
muscle car is one sexy ride to cruise in.
The inside of this Mustang is almost all stock and original. The
black-on-black interior still looks clean and in good shape. The
high-back bucket seats feature knitted vinyl material. The center
console with a floor shifter makes these muscle cars fun to drive.
The dashboard is in good shape, the carpet is clean, the door
panels look very nice with the wood-grain inlays, and everything is
what you'd want in an older muscle car. About the only thing that
is not stock appearing is the radio. The radio is an aftermarket
JVC AM/FM/CD head unit with AUX inputs.
In the engine bay sits a 351 Cleveland V8 with an aluminum intake
and an Edelbrock carburetor. This engine is mated with an FMX
3-speed automatic transmission that connects to a Ford 9-inch 2.75
rear axle. For suspension duties, the front gets lower trailing
bars, coil springs, and a stabilizer bar, while the rear handles
its business with semi-elliptic leaf springs and a set of shocks.
The front and rear Ford Mustang 14-inch wheels are wrapped in
P215/70R14 BFG tires, which bolt up to power disc brakes in the
front and power drum brakes in the rear. When it comes to exhaust,
it's stock except for a set of aftermarket resonator mufflers.
