How would you like to pull an absolute boulevard showstopper into
your garage? It's a fitting description for this 1955 Chevrolet Bel
Air. With just a little more than 5300 miles on its build, this
vintage Chevy is guaranteed to turn heads wherever it may go. Its
Black Cherry Metallic paint is a departure from the color scheme we
often see on this model, and it looks great in this setting, with a
bright shine and no visible dents or dings to be found. The
accompanying chrome and brightwork are also in good form, and the
collection of badging that helps define this vintage Chevy's
upper-tier status is securely in place and looking sharp. And check
out the stance! It's slightly lowered in front, but nothing too
drastic as to detract from the Bel Air's already striking
appearance or mess with ground clearance.
The very tasteful burgundy interior blends vinyl and cloth and
reflects the same high standards as what's on display outside the
doors, with a split-bench front seat that's free of any loose
stitching or rips, door panels that sit flush against their
surrounding steel, and an expanse of carpeting that also shows
nicely. The tilting column features an aftermarket steering wheel,
and the dash area beyond it is in fine shape, with a
recently-installed stock-style instrument cluster sporting clear,
easily readable gauges. At the center of the dash, an AM/FM stereo
with an auxiliary port stands ready to cater to your audio
requests, and there's a Vintage Air climate control system on board
to keep you and your passengers comfortable throughout the
year.
There's plenty to like beneath the hood, where a 350-cubic-inch
crate V8 is ready to supply plenty of power, surrounded by fresh
hoses and belts. It's outfitted with an Edelbrock 4-barrel
carburetor and intake manifold and exhales into a pair of Sanderson
Street Rod shorty headers that lead to a pair of FlowMaster
mufflers. Sway bars at both ends minimize body roll and make this
classic much nimbler while cornering, while air shocks in the back
offer a level of adjustability not available with a stock
configuration.
