For Sale: 1969 Chevrolet Camaro in Ft Worth, Texas

Vehicle Description

As a general rule in life, if you're going to do something, you should always try to do it well. And while this ideology can be applied to almost anything, it is especially crucial when restoring a classic muscle car. Sure, there is no shortage of first-generation Pony Cars out there; we can all but guarantee that few, if any, have been built as well as this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS Restomod Tribute. Its full black repaint adds a layer of subtlety that gently subdues its front and rear spoilers, custom taillights, an expertly installed new windshield, and an otherwise aggressive cowl-induction hood. Of course, all of that under-the-radar look vanishes the instant you turn the key.

But first, inside, we find an exquisite custom leather interior featuring red-and-black diamond-stitched upholstery, supportive bucket seats, and a custom center console with dual cupholders and a padded armrest. A power-assisted Billet Specialties wheel sits ahead of a trick six-pod white-faced AutoMeter gauge cluster featuring a 10,000-rpm tachometer and a 140-mph speedometer. A Vintage Air HVAC panel offers fully functional air conditioning, while just below, a custom switch panel houses power window and lock controls. A sneaky-cool pull-out remote control allows you to operate the Kenwood AM/FM/AUX/CD/Bluetooth single DIN head unit in the truck, while the 8-ball-style shifter knob offers control of the rear entertainment up front.

Under the hood, we find the subtle red-and-black theme carried over to the air cleaner, red spark plug wires, and black valve covers. Of course, on those valve covers are three numbers that put an end to the low-key vibe. A naturally-aspirated GM Performance 572 cubic-inch crate V-8 engine sporting matching GMP aluminum heads, Edelbrock FAST electronic fuel injection, long tube headers, and X-pipe dual exhaust, and MagnaFlow mufflers. That big block power is routed through a tried-and-true Tremec five-speed manual transmission before heading out to the Currie 9-inch rear end.

This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS Restomod Tribute rides on an upgraded suspension that includes Chassisworks tubular control arms with adjustable coilovers and a sway bar up front, while Ridetech control arms, coilovers, and adjustable sway bars comprise the rear suspension. A set of subframe connectors helps keep everything tight, even around the most challenging of corners. Staggered Billet Specialties wheels measuring 18 inches up front and 19 inches in the rear are shod in wide Nitto rubber measuring 275/35ZR-18 and 335/30ZR-19, respectively.

Barely hiding behind those beautiful ten-spoke wheels are Wilwood brakes featuring 6-piston front and 4-piston rear calipers that clamp down on cross-drilled and slotted rotors at all four corners. We typically don't like to play favorites with our cars, but there is simply no denying the spectacular build quality and attention to detail of this restomodded first-gen Camaro. If you've been searching for the right Pony Car to add to your stable, this big block thoroughbred is the one you have been waiting for. Remember, if you're going to do something, you might as well do it right - and that goes double for spending your hard-earned money on a classic muscle car. Call today!
