The last of the air-cooled Porsche 911s, the 993 is the final
evolution of the long air-cooled lineage from Porsche. The 993
boasts all of the innovations and refinement that Porsche learned
from building the 911 for 30+ years, creating a simple yet
distilled package of excellent driving dynamics, everyday comfort
and accessible performance. The C4S, first built for the 1996 model
year, uses the same wide body as the coveted 993 Turbo and also
used the same all-wheel-drive system that the Turbo was equipped
with. With an incredible amount of mechanical grip, a direct
driving experience with enough power to get into trouble with, the
993 C4S is a fantastic performer in all conditions.

The first longtime owner of this Carrera 4S, Alton Yazar, purchased
his Porsche on September 20th, 1997. Evident that he loved the car
and drove it as intended, he accumulated over 17,000 miles by 2001,
and by 2005 the odometer had risen to 29,701 miles. By 2022, the
odometer had just 32,691 original miles and had remained in the Bay
Area of California its entire life.
In April of 2022 the Carrera 4S received preventative maintenance
including receiving a new battery, new driver's seat switches were
installed, spark plugs and air filter were replaced, drive belts
replaced, front and rear shock absorbers were replaced, the fuel
filter was replaced, and other miscellaneous items. The total
investment made came to $9,252.58. Shortly after, Canepa acquired
the car in late 2022, where it didn't take long before it found a
new caretaker. This individual enjoyed the car for several years,
adding just around 400 miles to the odometer before it recently
returned back to Canepa 3 years later.
Just as it had left, upon its return it was easy to tell that this
Carrera 4S's excellent condition had been maintained. As a part of
the "Canepa Difference" process, the Porsche was inspected both
mechanically and cosmetically to ensure that it was in the best
condition that it could possibly be in. The car was given a
complete detail to ensure that the special order Zenith Blue
Metallic paint's luster was enhanced and was completely polished
using a multi-stage foam pad system, ensuring the factory original
paint was preserved. The accenting Midnight Blue leather interior
was given an equal level of attention. Afterwards, the car was
inspected mechanically and test driven, and given a complete bill
of health by Canepa's technicians. Ready for the next 30 years of
ownership, enjoying both short and long drives, this 1998 Porsche
911 C4S represents an excellent last-of-the-aircooled 911s, ready
to be enjoyed.
