This 1954 GMC "Patina" Truck is a beautifully preserved classic
that combines timeless style with extensive mechanical and cosmetic
restoration. Powered by a 248 cubic inch inline-six engine paired
to a 4-speed Hydramatic transmission, it delivers the authentic
driving experience of a mid-century GMC while benefiting from
numerous modernized components for dependable performance.
Underneath its natural patina, the truck has been carefully
refreshed from top to bottom. The tires and brakes are near new,
with freshly re-packed wheel bearings. Both bumpers, tailgate
chains, and tail lights have been replaced, and it features new bed
wood and a new windshield. The windows, vents, and weatherstripping
have all been restored, ensuring smooth operation and a solid,
well-cared-for feel throughout.
Inside, the cabin has been tastefully redone with a newly
upholstered and embroidered seat, powder-coated dash, and new
steering wheel. Sound-deadening material has been installed beneath
a new floor mat for a quieter, more comfortable ride. The
headliner, door panels, and door pockets are all new, while the
gauges have been visually refreshed and remain fully functional.
The heater works properly, and the horn, lights, and wipers are
operational.
Mechanically, this GMC has received a rebuilt generator, new
voltage regulator, and a full tune-up, including a new carburetor,
spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, air cleaner element, and fresh
fluids. The cooling system has been serviced with new hoses,
thermostat, and green antifreeze. The front suspension has been
renewed with new kingpins and ball joints, and the gas tank,
sending unit, and steering components have been replaced for added
reliability.
Lovingly maintained and thoughtfully upgraded, this 1954 GMC
"Patina" Truck offers the perfect blend of originality,
dependability, and vintage appeal. With its classic finish,
smooth-running inline-six, and countless new parts, it's a standout
example ready to drive, show, and enjoy.
