The 911 F generation is the first 911 ever build ( apart the 82
Porsche 901 produced ). This is the one that start it all !
Everything Porsche is today , all the races , the 19 victories in
Le Mans and its complete legacy comes from that car , the hat dream
born in the head of Ferdinand Porsche.
This generation is so recognizable with its long hood , pure line
and fluid design. Probably the best looking 911 ever. Light , agile
it is the real sport car by the 60's standard !
The 911 F was produced from 1965 and 1973 but there was a really
special year , which is 1972 ! And that is the car we are offering
today ! Why was it so special ? In 1972 Porsche installed a device
on its new 911 which was an external oil filler door, nicknamed the
"�lklappe" (oil flap), located on the right rear fender. This
one-year-only feature was implemented to make adding oil easier.
Also in a research of performance Porsche improve handling and
weight distribution by moving the oil tank forward.
The car we offer :
1972 911E Coupe that went through a complete restoration few years
ago with engine out service and full repaint. The enigne was
modified as an "hot rod" machin.e with PMO carburetors conversion
and matching rev counter for that throaty sound and performance we
are all dying for ! Car was equipped with later dash cover ( no
speaker grille ). Even though the car personalized with those two
items it retains what's most important it's original Engine ,
transmission and factory color.
