This 1960 Buick Electra 225 has only 3,782 actual miles since new!
The car is exceptionally original, including all of the interior,
trim and brightwork, headliner, drive train, etc. It even retains
some of its original exterior paint. The car was purchased new from
the Strang Garage Company in Colorado Springs, Colorado by a Mr.
Anson Ryder on October 5th, 1960. Mr. Ryder was the sole owner of
the vehicle until 1996 when Elmer High purchased it from the Ryder
estate. This example is finished in Tahiti Beige over Cordovan with
a code "833" Fawn interior. Some notable standard equipment
includes a 401ci 4-barrel V8 engine that produces 325 horsepower,
Turbine Drive automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes,
deluxe steering wheel, super deluxe wheel covers, dual exhaust, and
more. Optional equipment includes heater and defroster, Wonder Bar
radio with electric antenna, E-Z-Eye glass all the way around,
6-way power bench seat, chrome door guards, whitewall tires and
power windows. This phenomenal and rare body style features the
wraparound rear Vista glass and represents the apex of atomic age
mid-century design for General Motors' Buick division. Since the
early-mid 2000s the car has resided in two prominent private East
Coast collections, and this is the first time the car will be made
available to the general public at auction.
