Last of a long proud line. This 1975 Chevrolet Caprice Classic
convertible was the last full-size convertible produced by Chevy.
This fine example was purchased new August 14th, 1975 by Paul and
Patricia Humpleby from Don Warner Chevrolet- Buick Inc. in
Gettysburg, PA. Within the last year the car was procured by a
private collector out of the Humpleby estate. It is a 17,762 actual
mile example (documented on the title) . It still wears its factory
application of Medium Blue exterior paint and has the original
white vinyl interior, headliner, carpet, Etc. The original window
sticker confirms the car was undercoated when new and was equipped
with deluxe wire wheel covers, power door locks, Soft-Ray tinted
glass, power windows, door edge guards, Four-Season air
conditioning, 350ci/2-barrel carburetor V8 engine, tilt steering
wheel, AM/FM stereo radio, deluxe bumpers, bumper guards and more.
In the year 2000- as soon as the car qualified for AACA showing-
the Humpleby's began accumulating awards for this fine automobile.
Mr. Humpleby also did a thoughtful reconditioning of the chassis,
brake system and engine compartment at that time. In 2005, Mrs.
Humpleby stated that everything was original on the vehicle besides
the tires, shocks, battery, radiator hose and one particular belt
for the air conditioning.
All original documentation photographed is included in the sale.
