Cruisin Classics is proud to present to you this 2005 Ford Mustang
GT. If you're looking for a cool 5th-gen Mustang that really stands
out from the pack but doesn't break the bank, take a look at this
'05 GT. This Pony has a clean CarFax with only two owners, it's
averaged less than 4K miles a year during its pampered life, and
it's been graced with some very desirable performance, handling,
and cosmetic upgrades that are sure to get your attention! Starting
with the exterior, this Mustang still wears its factory coat of
Redfire Pearl Metallic (G2) paint that is high driver quality with
only a few small stone chips as demerits. Up front, you'll find
clear glass covers over single round headlights and a black
honeycomb grille with a bright running pony at the center flanked
by round fog lights. As you move to the side of the car, you really
get a sense of the muscular body and stance. GT badges adorn both
fenders, and both sides are equipped with black side mirrors.
Flared wheel openings draw your eye to some stunning gloss black
18" SVE wheels wrapped in staggered Nitto NT555 G2 tires (255 45
ZR18-front, 285 40 ZR18 105W-rear) - a perfect combination. At the
rear of the car, you'll see a decklid spoiler, iconic triple
taillights, a faux bright round GT gas fill door (the actual gas
fill door is on the driver's side rear quarter), and dual factory
exhaust tips.
The stance of this Mustang is aggressive - having been lowered 1"
in the front and 1 " in the rear with Steeda Lite lowering
springs. That's only the beginning of all the suspension upgrades
done to this car - it's now equipped with GT500 front control arms
and mounts, a Ford Performance front lower control arm brace,
heavy-duty Ford front sway bar links and tie rod ends, Koni ST
struts with new Ford bump stops, and Whiteline rear upper and lower
control arms (updated mount and stock bushings). Needless to say,
this GT handles like a champ out on the road!
Lift the lightweight hood to find a very tidy engine bay with some
truly exciting upgrades. At the heart is the original Ford
4.6-liter 281ci SOHC V-8, an engine known for reliability and the
easy installation of performance add-ons. Atop this V-8 is a Paxton
NOVI 1200 SL supercharger that was installed by Brenspeed in
Indiana in 2023. When the supercharger was installed, it was given
a 93 octane Brenspeed tune that is stored on an SCT X4 Performance
Programmer and Tuner that comes with the car. The SCT tuner is also
loaded with a BAMA tune and the original stock tune for the car.
Along with the supercharger and tune, the engine was outfitted with
Brisk racing spark plugs, Ford Racing 47 lb. fuel injectors, a Ford
Racing performance fan, and a Kenne Bell Boost-a-Pump. The car was
dyno-tested by Brenspeed at 452 hp at the wheels - a massive
increase from the stock 300hp from the factory! The V-8 is mated to
the stock Tremec-3650 5-speed manual transmission that the car was
born with. The transmission sends power to the rear via a new Shaft
Masters one-piece aluminum driveshaft that connects to a stock Ford
rear axle with a limited-slip differential and 3.55:1 gears.
Stopping power is provided by power 4-wheel disc brakes with
4-channel ABS and traction control. With all these upgrades, it
should come as no surprise that this Mustang is an absolute blast
to drive!
Open the driver's door to reveal a clean stock Dark Charcoal
interior that looks fantastic for a 20-year-old car. The plastic
door panels offer power locks and power windows, and they're
equipped with factory speakers. The front bucket and rear bench
seats are dressed in dark cloth with insets decorated with a
running pony design. Both front and rear seats are in excellent
condition with no rips, tears, or stains. Splitting the front
buckets is a center console that features an armrest/storage box,
two cupholders, the emergency brake handle, and a Barton
short-throw shifter with stock handle and stitched boot (yet
another great upgrade!). Ahead of the driver is a stock 3-spoke
steering wheel with finger-touch cruise controls on a tilt column
that also offers a stalk for the intermittent wiper controls. The
wheel frames both a chrome-trimmed round 8K tachometer and a 140mph
speedometer. Between them are a fuel gauge, a temp gauge, and an
odometer that reads 74,431 actual miles (per the title and CarFax).
Tucked in this same area is a Raptor shift light that is
inoperative, but there is a brand-new replacement light in the
trunk. The four air vents across the dash are also round and
chrome-trimmed to match the gauges. In the center of the dash,
you'll find a factory AM/FM/CD stereo and easy-to-use HVAC controls
that crank out ice-cold A/C and hot heat with a strong fan on
demand. Ahead of the passenger in the glovebox is a full owner's
manual portfolio with a CD. Both the front passenger and driver are
protected with factory airbags. Overhead are map lights and a tight
felt headliner, while underfoot is black factory carpet that's kept
nice with black carpeted floormats. Around back in the fully
carpeted trunk are the original spare and jack, a couple of bottles
of supercharger lubricant, a folder full of receipts for all the
upgrades (and some regular maintenance), and the aforementioned
Raptor shift light and the SCT tuner (in its original box).
Whether you're on the hunt for a Mustang or just looking for a
powerful performance muscle car loaded with amenities, you're going
to love this '05 GT! This car looks fantastic, it has amazing
handling, and it's scary-fast! If you want GT500 performance
