Looking for one of the most coveted classic Mustang iterations in
its optimized form? Then check out this 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1.
Dressed in high-impact black paint that's ornamented with
contrasting stripes and features an excellent shine, this is an
outstanding take on the upper-tier version of Ford's iconic Pony
Car. The attention-grabbing paint features just enough metallic
flake to catch the sun and really light up this classic, without
going so far as to render it a visual novelty. An added matte black
hood injects just a touch of aftermarket sensibility without
detracting from the overall factory aesthetic, and the exterior
trim on this classic is looking sharp. A glance below will reveal a
solid undercarriage that helps position this Mustang for plenty of
future enjoyment.
The interior retains the same authentic factory configuration and
is in uniformly clean condition. The black vinyl bucket seats still
retain their original shape, with no splayed bolsters or excessive
wear, and still have a nice, smooth texture. You'll find a newly
added steering wheel in place, and just beyond it the dash area is
also in fine condition, with a collection of clear, functional
stock gauges in place that are encircled by the faux wood trim that
came part and parcel with the Mach I's Deluxe Interior Package.
Immediately above, the dash pad shows no warpage or cracking, which
is always a welcome sight in a classic with black upholstery, and a
factory-correct Philco AM radio still holds its place just below,
although it will need a little attention to get back online.
Below that distinctive matte-black hood, you'll find a
well-maintained engine bay, at the center of which sits a
351-cubic-inch Windsor V8. One of the most desirable engines of its
time, it's fed by a Holley 4-barrel carburetor and pairs with a
4-speed manual Toploader transmission that puts full control of its
output in the hands of the driver. The surrounding belts and hoses
appear to be in really solid condition, and the compartment retains
a convincingly authentic appearance. The upgrade to the four-wheel
power disc brakes now in place represents one of the few deviations
from a stock configuration, equipping this sharp-looking Mustang
with fade-resistant stopping ability that comes in handy during
frequent driving.
