For Sale: 1970 Chevrolet Nova in Seekonk, Massachusetts

Vehicle Description

This gorgeous, original matching-numbers 1970 Chevrolet Nova SS 350 4-speed has been restored to high show-quality standards throughout. It was certified authentic by expert Jerry MacNeish of Camaro Hi-Performance on October 21, 2024, with the Data Analysis Report included. In 1970, only 19,558 Nova SS models were built, including 13,991 SS 350s. This example was built in early March 1970 at the Ypsilanti, Michigan plant and retains its factory-correct options, including tinted glass, Strato bucket seats, vinyl roof, rear defroster, center console, Positraction axle, M20 4-speed, power steering, special instrumentation, AM/FM radio, custom interior, rally wheels, and Classic White exterior with black vinyl interior. The original selling dealer was Galles Chevrolet in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and the dealership emblem is included.

The car was purchased in 1999 by Barry Williams of Alton Bay, NH, as a survivor with around 90,000 miles. After decades of storage, Barry, a mechanic and shop owner, began a no-expense-spared rotisserie restoration in 2022, completed in fall 2024. Restoration photos are included. MS Classic Cars purchased the car directly from Barry in October 2025, then performed a full service and detail.

The exterior is stunning in its factory Classic White with a new black vinyl top. The body retains all original sheet metal except the driver’s rear quarter and tail light panel. Paint quality is exceptional with excellent fitment throughout. All exterior components, glass, trim, emblems, bumpers, and lenses were restored or replaced. It features new 7” Classic German Hella H4 LED headlights, all-new rubber seals, and new 14” Super Sport wheels wrapped in Goodyear Polyglas F70-14 tires.

The interior presents fresh and factory-correct in black. The cabin was stripped, Hushmat insulation added, and fully rewired using American Autowire harnesses. It features a restored dash, new headliner, sun visors, and door panels, with original armrests retained. Seats were reupholstered, and many components were replaced, including door sills, steering wheel, handles, shifter, seat belts, and carpet. It’s equipped with a modern Antique Auto Radio and beautifully restored trunk with correct splatter paint, spare, and jack.

The engine bay is highly detailed and among the best from the MS Classic Cars Collection. It houses the original matching-numbers “L48” 350 V8 rated at 300hp, assembled March 3, 1970, and rebuilt by Peterson’s Machining in Belmont, NH. The engine was bored .030 over and fitted with new pistons, bearings, roller cam, and rebuilt heads. Correct original components include the Rochester 4-bbl carb (#7040213), Delco distributor (#1111996), alternator (#1100834), and starter (#1108418), all with date codes aligning to the build. It features a period-correct radiator, rebuilt water pump, reproduction manifolds, and a new Gardner Concours Show dual exhaust. Power is delivered through the original matching-numbers Muncie M20 4-speed and 3.31 Positraction rear axle—both completely rebuilt.

The undercarriage is equally impressive. The floor pans were refinished in durable white bed liner, with black wheel wells and powder-coated subframe. The suspension and steering were rebuilt with new bushings, ball joints, tie rods, and hardware. The rear springs were upgraded to 5-leaf for proper stance and finished in phosphate coating. The braking system features restored original Delco components, including a #9204 booster and #5470409 master cylinder, along with new lines, hoses, and rebuilt calipers. A new fuel tank, sending unit, and AC Delco fuel pump were installed.

This investment-grade 1970 Nova SS 350 4-speed combines authenticity, craftsmanship, and presentation at the highest level—an exceptional addition to any high-end muscle car collection.
