Here's another example of a 280 generation ZX. An up an coming classic and the 240's and 260's become further out of reach to many. These are quickly following suit. Will the 300 do the same thing? Many say not so much so it's now to jump on while you still can and get an affordable 280. Here is a terrific original example! What appears to be a one or many two owner car with a clean, accident free Carfax history. The paint and interior all seems original to me with just typical wear and tare. This is a perfect entry level Z. It's not a turbo but is a two seater and is a five speed and yes, it's got t-tops! Doesn't get a whole lot better than that. The odometer shows just 60,283 miles and there is a small mileage discrepancy of 9K miles recorded back in 2006. This is very typical of cars this old and Carfax reports. It's not large enough of a discrepancy to give it a second thought as far as I'm concerned. The car absolutely speaks for itself. The power windows and mirrors work well. The original stereo works although I did not check the cassette. Lets assume that does not. The A/C blew cold as wellThis is a really nice car. A nice, unmolested and original example. That being said, it's not perfect. some minor stone chips across the front, a slight scratch here or there but nothing obscene. The interior is tidy and well kept also as seen in the pictures. Again, it's original and it's almost 45 years old.
This car has been driven little by it's current owner/dealer. I have the car on consignment for him as he is liquidating his collection of special interest and classic cars. That being said, I would always recommend an in person inspection or independent one. I have no hands on experience with this vehicle other than my time with it the day I took the photos and videos. I can tell you however that there is an intermittent hard start issue when the engine is warm. I see some new part under the hood like someone may have been chasing that like fresh tune up parts and ignition module but then I see a very original looking coil which probably would have been the first thing I would have checked. I any regard, the car is being sold as is with that condition specifically because I experienced it. The car is priced accordingly and will be an absolute fantastic value to the right buyer.
