For Sale: 1985 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z in Pembroke, Massachusetts

Vehicle Description

WOW! Here's one to hold onto. As a newer generation of collectors enter the market, this is the stuff they are scooping up. What they know of as a muscle car. OK, it was the 80's so there wasn't a lot of performance out there with anything so you got what you could and what you got when you wanted something fast was generally one of these if you were a GM person.

IROC is said to have stood for 'International Race Of Champions'. I'll believe that but as a kid, we had a different definition. I now have many Italian friends and family members so I'll just leave it to you to go look up. Honestly I didn't usually give these cars a second look, personally when they were new. Well now I have a different view. They bring me back to a time I'd sometimes (and sometimes not) like to revisit. The 1980's. These cars are incredibly nostalgic.

This is an AMAZING example that appears original. Obviously loved it's entire life and not abused and clapped out like most of the others. This thing is a true time capsule. We don't have a ton of documentation or history but we do have a squeaky clean Carfax showing zero accidents or odometer issues. That's rare right there! This is a non t-top car with the smaller 305 V8 mated to a three speed automatic transmission. Both perform fantastic. Th car has just 61,903 original miles.

The interior on this car is what REALLY caught my eye!  It's a veery rare and expensive option for this car when it was new. It was called the Lear Siegler Conteur Interior. It was an $875 option! I've never seen it.  Look at that upholstery!  The entire interior is IMMACULATE. Everything I tried worked. The power windows, locks and even the seat. Yes, that's power too. The original Delco stereo works great and the A/C blows cold air. I couldn't find anything to pick apart inside this one! A true testament to it's lifetime care. Obviously garaged.

If I had to point out one thing it would be that the rear bumper paint has thinned. It's original and shows some age. I'm nit picking but this car is SO NICE that I think the rear bumper only deserves a professional refresh. That's it as far as I can see. This car is a true future classic. Heck, it's already and antique! Hard to believe, I know.

Check out the full gallery of photos in the link below and reach out for my short, running walk around video. You won't be disappointed. I have this car on consignment to assist with the liquidation of a large collection. An in person inspection can be arranged and is encouraged although I don't think you can go wrong here.
