In a world full of crossovers and almost-trucks, sometimes it's
nice to hark back to a time when a 4X4 meant business. The
fourth-generation Ford Bronco, which lasted from 1987 to 1991,
ushered in arguably the most memorable version of this truck. This
1989 Ford Bronco XLT 4X4, wearing a full repaint of its Alpine
Green Poly exterior, which now includes its once-tan hardtop, shows
why this truck has remained a constant in our memory banks. This
truck has been upgraded with a big six-inch lift, helpful Carr side
steps, front LED lights and roof running lights to help it stand
out anywhere it goes.
Inside, the Ford Light Chestnut cloth interior is warm enough to be
comfortable, but Spartan enough to retain its tough truck persona.
A center console separates a pair of bucket seats, while a
two-spoke power-assisted wheel comes with thumb controls for cruise
control. Power door locks, windows, and air conditioning all allow
this truck to be compliant and civilized when necessary. A Boss
Audio AM/FM/AUX touchscreen offers Bluetooth connectivity and a
backup camera. At the same time, a trio of white-faced auxiliary
gauges sits under the dash and provides feedback for water
pressure, oil pressure, and battery voltage.
Under the hood, we find a version of Ford's venerable 5.0-liter
small-block V-8, which sports a single four-barrel Edelbrock AVS 2
carburetor. A dual-to-single exhaust system expels spent gases
through a factory-replacement muffler. Power is routed through a C6
three-speed automatic transmission before being sent to either just
the rear wheels via a Dana 30 axle or to all four corners, thanks
to four-wheel drive.

offer a better package of throwback style and off-road prowess than
a classic Bronco. Don't wait, call today!
