Offered for sale is a nicely preserved and highly original, #matching original drivetrain, one previous owner estate find - a 1968 Chevy Camaro RS Coupe with a black vinyl top and its original C2 white exterior paint color. This highly original pony car shows well and can be driven and showed as is, and/or would make for an excellent restoration for someone that demands originality and thorough documentation.
Power by its original #matching 327-2BBL Turbofire V8 210 HP paired with the original 2-Speed Powerglide automatic transmission, this Camaro starts easily, drives nicely, and does not overheat. All but clock and RS hide-a-way headlight doors in great working condition. Older extensive preservation and very light restoration with nice mostly original paint, very few minor dents, and limited signs of rust, and excellent interior. The car features power windows, power steering, and power brakes. Key features include Rally Wheels, Deluxe Steering Wheel, Deluxe Houndstooth Interior, and Rally Sports Equipment Package.
This time capsule has mostly all original body metal and paint, and very original un-restored engine compartment and undercarriage...both of which are in very good condition. The #matching engine has mostly all original parts, with the exception of the carburetor that was replaced in 2001.
This Camaro was loved and nicely maintained by the original estate owners. It underwent a thorough maintain and preservation project in March 2001 (at 80,484 miles), with an itemized maintenance listing and over $7,000 of actual receipts included with the sale of the Camaro. The car was not driven or registered with annual tags since 2008, during which time it was stored under a cover in the same garage it was originally parked in upon its purchase on March 26, 1968 from Miller Chevrolet in Grand Haven, MI. The three (3) same estate owners that had the Camaro titled in their names were the original purchaser mother, oldest daughter that drove the car for a number of years, and the youngest daughter that inherited and titled the car in July 2025. The original bill-of-sale and titles by all three (3) of the estate owners will be included in the sale of the Camaro.
Upon purchase of the car from the estate by me on September 16, 2025, I have invested approximately $4,000 to overall haul the car to get the car running and back on the road again, which included a new battery, all new fluids, new spark plugs and plus wires, new hoses, fan belts, and a new muffler. New parts purchased, but NOT yet installed, are the Camaro will be a new set of hide-a-way headlight doors vacuum tubes (required to get doors operational), a new front grill, an OEM drivers-side seatbelt, and an original OEM RS gas cap and front grille emblem. I did replace the air cover 327 sticker and the windshield fluid tank (the original tank included with sale). I also purchased a new set of oil pan, transmission cover, and water pump gaskets. They were purchased in the event of any leaks, but to date no oil leaks to the oil pan, transmission, or water pump have been noticed.
DOCUMENTATION - In addition to the purchased parts listed above, included with the sale of the Camaro will be the following documents:
