The 1st Gen of the Tesla Roadster was introduced in 2008 by Tesla
as their first production electric car, featuring a mid-mounted
electric motor in a two seat roadster body. These rear wheel drive
sports cars helped turn the world's attention to the performance
capabilities of electric motors. The Roadster is powered by a 53kWh
induction motor that sends drive to the rear wheels. Production of
the 1st Gen Tesla Roadster lasted until 2012, when the model was
discontinued. The 2nd Gen is expected to start production later
next year.
This car comes with the original RC car, the 120V and 240V chargers
and the owners manual. The car also comes with the original tool
kit, soft top and a custom aftermarket waterproof cover. The new
second generation 3.0 R80 battery that was installed in 2023 - at a

original and is likely good for the next 20 years. The car has also
had replacements of the TPMS system, high voltage controller and
switchpack - all done by Tesla.
