The 1st Gen of the Tesla Roadster was introduced in 2008 by Tesla

"3-phase 4-pole AC induction" air cooled motor, delivering 248 hp
and 200 lb�ft of torque and a 3.9 second 0-60. Production of the
1st Gen Tesla Roadster lasted until 2012, when the model was
discontinued. The 2nd Gen is expected to start production later
next year. There were a total of 2,450 Roadsters ever produced
worldwide - with just over 1000 estimated to remain in North

second generation 3.0 R80 battery that was installed in 2023 - this

original as it increased the power storage by over 50% from 53kWh
to 80kWh and adds decades of dependable performance before you even
need to think about a replacement. The car has also had
replacements of the TPMS system, high voltage controller and
switchpack - all done by Tesla.
