This 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu sport coupe was the subject of
refurbishment work between 2010 and 2016 following their father's
2008 acquisition that involved installing a 572ci V8, which is
fitted with a Holley double-pumper carburetor, Lemons headers, a
Moroso oil pan, and a TCI Automotive harmonic balancer. The engine
is backed by a TCI Auto TH400 three-speed automatic transmission
and a 12-bolt rear end with a 4.10:1 gear set. Other build details
include a stainless-steel exhaust system, 15? Center Line wheels,
and front disc brakes. The car has been refinished in red with
black stripes, and the refreshed black interior has front bucket
seats, a center console, and a retro-look head unit. This Chevelle
sport coupe was purchased by the prevoius owner in 2018 and is now
offered with a clean New Jersey title. Refurbishment work reported
by the previous owner includes replacing the fenders, hood, trunk,
and quarter panels before a repaint in red with black stripes. Trim
was also replaced, and the car has halogen headlights, LED
taillights, and SS badging.Staggered-width 15? Center Line Convo
Pro wheels are mounted with 205/70 front and 295/50 rear Goodyear
Eagle GT 2 tires. The braking system incorporates stainless-steel
lines along with red-finished front calipers over cross-drilled and
slotted discs and the car is further equipped with power steering.
The prevoius owner tells us the suspension was overhauled during
the aforementioned refurbishment. The refreshed interior houses
front bucket and rear bench seats upholstered in black vinyl.
Appointments include a horseshoe-style shifter, a center console,
and a retro-look radio. Instrumentation includes a 120-mph
speedometer flanked by auxiliary readouts, while a tachometer is
mounted on the steering column, and a trio of aftermarket gauges is
mounted below the dashboard. The 572ci V8 was installed in 2014,
according to the previous owner, and has been fitted with the
following components: Solid roller camshaft with a melonized
distributor gear Moroso seven-quart oil pan with kickouts TCI
