INTRODUCTION: 1 of 283 Big Bad Green AMXs made! Throw in all the
other factory options and this is one extremely rare car. Only
2,530 miles since the detailed rotisserie restoration. $80,000 and
5 years were invested, photos and receipts are included. Get in,
turn the key, have some fun, and look badass!
EXTERIOR: Make a bold statement! The Big Bad Green paint stands out
in a crowd on top of being super rare. It was applied with great
attention to detail and polished to a slick and shiny reflection.
The black stripes are a vinyl decal just like the factory did it.
When looking down the side of the laser straight body you'll be
satisfied with all the smooth contours and crisp lines. The panels
have been painstakingly aligned with good gaps that are well above
average. Part of the Big Bad green package are the color matching
bumpers and the rear is equipped with bumper guards on this one.
The hood with dual bulges and fish gills provides a pleasant, yet
aggressive aesthetic. The tail lights appear to have been replaced
and look like new. All the brightwork has a glorious shine and the
emblems are in great shape. The entire ensemble is rolling on 14"
steel wheels with a glitter finish applique that is reminiscent of
the 70's and has a polished lip. They are wrapped in reproduction
Goodyear Polyglass redline tires.
INTERIOR: Nicely restored and it's a factory leather seat car! The
bucket seats have been wonderfully reupholstered with durable dark
charcoal gray genuine leather. The center folding armrest is an
extremely practical option. The door panels look to be replaced and
the driver side is equipped with a remote mirror. The gauges,
steering wheel, 4 speed manual shifter, radio, and climate control
all appear to be original but in great shape. It is equipped with a
tilt steering column. The sun visors, headliner and carpet have all
been replaced. It also has really nice AMX embroided floor mats.
Behind the seats has been properly recarpeted and upgraded 5.5"
speakers were added. The kick panel lights and clock are also
working.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: What a proper looking engine bay! The 390 cubic
inch V8 was nicely rebuilt but still looks very stock. It is
handsomely dressed with a chrome AMX pie tin and chrome valve
covers too. Very well equipped with factory air conditioning, power
steering, and power brakes. All the hoses and belts have been
replaced. The horns and squirters are hooked up plus it even has
the original style washer fluid bag. The battery is properly
secured and the radiator appears to be rebuilt or replaced. The
underside of the body color painted hood is complete with
insulation. Additionally the fenderwells and firewall have been
painted just like the exterior.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The underside of the trunk lid and inside the
jamb are painted slick just like the body. The weather stripping
was replaced and the trunk light works. Inside had a space saver
spare tire, inflation canister, and vinyl trunk mat. Under the mat
is all rust free solid steel that is painted body color as
well.
UNDERSIDE: Rotisserie restored! Solid body colored floorboards!
Every detail has been attended to on the underside. The steering
system has been rebuilt, and many components were replaced. It is
equipped with a sway bar and the front suspension fully restored
with new parts including trunnion springs and shocks. The rear
suspension was also restored with new leaf springs and shocks too.
It has refreshed front disc brakes with new lines and the emergency
brake is hooked up too. The dual exhaust system was completely
replaced with fresh tubes, mufflers, and polished tips exiting
under the rear bumper. The gas tank was also replaced and has new
fuel lines front to back. When looking up at the rebuilt engine it
is nicely painted metallic blue just like when it left the factory,
and the starter was replaced. The four-speed manual transmission
looks good too and works well. The drive shaft has been serviced
and transfers power back to a freshened up 3.54 Twin Grip rear
end.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we
built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and
hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car
we sell.
CONCLUSION: This AMX checks all the boxes! It's extremely rare,
it's rotisserie restored, it's fully loaded, and it's gorgeous! Not
to mention fast and fun!
For nearly 30 years, I, Jay Grams, have personally written the
highlights for almost every car in our collection. What I provide
is my professional opinion based on my experience with these
vehicles. However, opinions can vary, and I strongly recommend a
personal inspection to form your own view. Our sales team is always
available to answer any questions you may have. One great option is
to request a personalized walk-around video, where we can showcase
the car and share our team's insights. **Our cars are displayed
within a museum setting. If you are interested in a specific
vehicle, please schedule an appointment with a salesperson to view
it. Without an appointment, there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you decide to purchase a car, your admission will be
refunded, and you'll receive a one-year museum membership.
