Few cars personify the automotive spirit of the 1960s quite like
this numbers-matching 1965 Chevrolet Corvette. Fully repainted in
this beautiful Nassau Blue, which showcases its sleek hardtop coupe
body style. With plenty of receipts and restoration photos, this
well-cared-for C2 is ready to make its next owner a very happy
member of the Corvette club.
Inside, we find a fully restored black leather interior. A center
console separates the dual bucket seats, while a three-spoke,
power-assisted, wood-rimmed steering wheel sits just ahead of the
C2 six-pod gauge cluster, featuring a 7,000-rpm tachometer and a
160-mph speedometer. A large analog clock sits high atop the center
stack, and while the vertical radio is still where it belongs, this
head unit has been upgraded to a modern AM/FM/AUX head, while a CD
changer is hidden behind the passenger seat. Thanks to the coupe
setup, this 'Vette also sports a sizeable cargo area, making road
trips equal parts practical and fun.
Under that front-hinged hood, we find a clean engine bay that
houses a numbers-matching 327 cubic-inch L75 V-8. Thanks to a
single four-barrel carburetor and 10.5:1 compression ratio, this
small block pumped out an impressive advertised 300 horsepower and
360 pound-feet of torque. That power is routed through a TH350
three-speed automatic transmission that replaced the original
Powerglide auto before heading out to the rear wheels.
