Here is a true classic that has great lines and a price that makes
it attractive to any buyer. Our 1948 Ford Super Deluxe Convertible
runs as well as it looks making it a great candidate for a weekend
driver and local car show car.
This Super Deluxe perfectly captures the essence of post
waroptimism and is finished in an older Yellow lacquer paint job
that is aging but still shows well. The chrome and brightwork are
in good condition and the steel wheels wrapped in whitewall tires
togive it a very classy look. The car does feature a power
convertible top that is currently inoperable, but can be raised and
lowered manually.
Under the hood lies an original style 221 CID Flathead V8 engine
mated to a 3 speed column shift manual transmission. Nice and
simple, just the way it should be. Turn the key and hit the button
and that Flathead comes to life with its signature crackle out of
the exhaust. No computers, sensors, or high tech electronics. This
thing will still be running when the world ends!
The interior shows well and is finished in brown leather. The
highly original art-deco style wood grain dash and instrument panel
are in great shape and are beautiful now as they were in 1948.
