1965 Ford Falcon Futura 2 Door Sedan Restomod. This is a complete
rotisserie restored, nut and bolt restoration, customization that
has been executed at the highest level. This Falcon Futura is
presented in its original factory color of Twilight Turquoise over
a custom interior.
The car is powered by a 408 cubic inch Windsor that has been
professionally prepared, balanced and blueprinted to 600hp at the
flywheel. Engine preparation includes Fully machined, bored with
torque plates, align honed, decked and machined for clearance for
stroker crankshaft. Eagle Forged Rotating assembly that has been
internally balanced, SFI-approved crank dampener and flexplate, ARP
main cap studs and girdle, and ARP assembly bolts throughout.
Spec'd to 4.0" Stroke, 4.030" bore, 6.25" H beam rods to 10.5/1
compression. Complementing this are a set of AFR 205 Aluminum heads
with ARP head bolts, Comp Cams XE282HR roller camshaft and lifters,
Comp Cams roller rocker arms with stud girdle, Cloyes full rolling
timing chain set. All this is fed by its Edelbrock Performer intake
manifold, topped with a Holley TerminatorX Stealth throttle body
EFI system. Other engine performance goodies include: Canton 7
quart oil pan, Melling oil pump, Motorsport oil pump drive shaft,
Concept One serpentine pulley system with 140amp alternator,
Champion 22" wide aluminum radiator, Derale 2 speed cooling fan
shroud, and Stewart High flow water pump and thermostat. The
transmission is a 4R70w Automatic with overdrive transmission that
has been completely rebuilt and fortified with Exedy clutches and
J-mode valve body, Holley TerminatorX Max management, custom
transmission cooler lines with external trans cooler and actuated
by Lokar electronic sport shifter. The power is applied by a
narrowed Ford 8.8" differential 3.73 gears with positraction. It
has been built with a new ring and pinion with new bearings, seals
and clutches for the posi unit. It also utilizes custom Moser axle
shafts.
The car utilizes an AJE suspension system front and rear with
torque box frame connectors and stiffeners to the rockers, Tubular
front control arms and coilover front struts, AJE front strut
towers with custom built under hood panels, rack and pinion
steering with custom electric power assist steering column, and
custom fabricated chassis stiffeners to firewall and across the
strut towers. The rear is a triangulated 4 link tubular suspension
with coil over shocks. The stoppers are Mustang Cobra disc brakes
front and rear with 13 inch cross drilled and slotted rotors in the
front and 11.65 cross drilled and slotted in the rear.
The Custom interior features all new upholstery made to replicate
OE design, modern front bucket seats with headrests, new carpeting,
3 point seatbelts, custom center console, usb charging points,
Alpine custom stereo Carplay Audio ready, Vintage Air conditioning
with custom dash louvers, Dakota Digital RTX instrument cluster
replicating OE design with bluetooth capable programming, Holley
Body Integration module and Dakota Digital cruise control system.

The exterior features its original steel body panels, new chrome
bumpers front and rear, Re-chromed original outside door handles,
trunk trim and C-pilar trim. Countless hours were spent on cleaning
and polishing all 42 pieces of original stainless steel trim. The
grille, turn signal housings and tail light housings were finished
off in a high quality powder coat.
This build and customization was masterfully executed by a long
time client of ours and a retired master mechanic. He has a passion
and level of execution is second to none and his finished products
rival anyone in the industry. It incorporates a skill level that
has been forged by decades of experience and a lifelong passion for
the craft. The hours spent on this Falcon is unknown as time was
never really tracked. It took over 3 years from start to finish.
The car has been driven approximately 4500 miles since the build to
include a tour of Route 66. The performance is amazing, the
presentation is second to none. It is time to sell and start
another project. It is for sale at a fraction of the cost to pay
someone to build it for you.
