The 4.2 generation is widely regarded as the most usable of the early E-Types. While not as rare as the early 3.8 cars, they offer more comfortable seating, more durable interior trim, a torquier engine and other refinements — all while retaining the desirable covered headlamps and slender secondary lamps that define the Series I look.
