Being offered for sale is this beautifully preserved, original Mustang Pace Car replica. This car is a true survivor, with less than 13,000 original miles on the odometer.
Featuring the 2.3 turbocharged engine and 4 speed manual, it is a lot of fun to drive. The engine pulls strong, and the turbo spools up smoothly. Clutch engagement is smooth and the transmission shifts well.
The interior of the car is in excellent condition, which is to be expected with such low mileage. All plastic trim is clean and undamaged, including the dash pad. The seat upholstery and carpeting are like new, A few small wrinkles in the headliner, but not very noticeable.
The body and paint are also in very good shape, with only slight fading on the black part of the hood. Original decals are in excellent shape, with no discoloration, or cracking. All of the glass is perfect, including the windshield. Paint on the front end and along the rocker panels looks nearly new. No rust at all on any of the body panels, including rockers and fender lips. A full set of underbody photos are available upon request.
Mechanically, the car is in great shape as well. The steering is tight and the brakes work well. With a new battery and rebuilt carburetor, it starts and runs perfectly.
This car features factory A/C, which will need to be serviced and recharged. The compressor engages and operates smoothly, which is a good sign.
Additions to the car include a digital turbo boost gauge and new LMR 16" rims with General G-Max tires, which greatly improve safety and drivability. The original rims and reproduction TRX tires will be included with the sale.
