1936 Ford Deluxe three-window coupe. This all steel car (no
fiberglass), features a rumble seat and is powered by a traditional
flathead V8 engine paired with a 3-speed manual transmission
shifted on the floor. Great looking chrome and brightwork,
including the distinctive grille, chrome artillery-style wheels
with wide whitewall bias ply tires, and fender skirts that
elegantly conceal the rear wheels. The paint has a glossy finish
with a few small imperfections typical of a car driven and enjoyed.
The interior is in great condition with a tan cloth bench seat,
matching door panels, and original style push-button floor starter.
Recent service work includes a new carburetor and newer dual
exhaust system that is straight-piped with side exits. Speedometer,
amps and oil pressure gauges reading. The gas gauge reads but
operates inversely (full shows empty and vice versa). There is some
slack in the steering. The exhaust has that great throaty flathead
sound characteristic of the era. On the road the car's smooth
shifting, solid clutch feel, and flat cornering are evident.
