The 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 is one of the most iconic American
muscle cars ever built, representing the peak of first-generation
Camaro performance and style. Introduced as part of Chevrolet's
Trans-Am racing homologation efforts, the Z/28 package was designed
to compete in the SCCA's 5.0-liter class, which limited engine
displacement to 302 cubic inches. To meet this requirement,
Chevrolet engineers combined a 327-cubic-inch small-block
crankshaft with a 283-cubic-inch engine block to create the
high-revving 302 V8, officially rated at 290 horsepower-though real
output was closer to 360 hp. The 1969 model year brought a more
aggressive restyle, with a longer, lower look, deeply inset grille,
and muscular fender lines that gave the car its signature stance.
Performance options included a close-ratio 4-speed manual
transmission, power front disc brakes, and the famous dual stripes
running over the hood and decklid. Though it wasn't the most
powerful Camaro of its time, the Z/28's balance of speed, handling,
and race-bred engineering made it a favorite among enthusiasts and
racers alike. Today, the 1969 Camaro Z/28 is highly prized by
collectors and stands as a defining example of late-'60s American
performance design. This 1969 Camaro Z28 has undergone a full
rotisserie restoration and is beautifully refinished in Hugger
Orange with painted white stripes over a black vinyl interior,
creating a timeless and striking color combination. As one of the
most sought-after muscle cars of its era, the 1969 Z28 is renowned
for its rarity and performance pedigree-produced in limited numbers
and specifically designed for Trans-Am racing homologation. This
example features its numbers-matching 290hp 302 high-performance
engine paired with a Muncie M20 4-speed manual transmission and the
original 12-bolt 4.10 Positraction rear end, delivering the pure
driving experience that made the Z28 legendary. Certified by Camaro
expert Jerry MacNeish, this car retains an exceptional amount of
its original factory components, further underscoring its
authenticity and collector appeal. Please contact us with any
