Seven Hills Motorcars is glad to offer this beautiful 1979 Z28
Camaro in spectacular condition with the highly desirable 4-speed
manual transmission. This Z28 looks amazing, runs well, and drives
exceptionally well. The car has great lines and no rust issues; one
can even see how clean the car is underneath in the photos below of
the car on a lift. This is an excellent opportunity to own a very
clean classic 4-speed Camaro that is ready to be used and enjoyed
at an unbeatable value. One could easily buy this car now and sell
it for more than the purchase price in years to come as these
F-Body's are appreciating fast and the market on them is red hot
right now.
This Camaro was purchased by one of the employees of our dealership
in 2021. It was his personal car and was shown at many car shows
over the past few years and has one countless trophies and awards.
Knowing this gentleman, he is the exact person that you would want
to buy a car from. Anything this car every needed he did to it. He
is detail orientated and has prepared hundreds of Corvettes over
the years for Seven Hills Motorcars and is extremely meticulous
with a great eye for detail. This Z28 being his personal car, was
treated to just about the best care and attention a classic car
could receive. All of his vehicles are kept spotlessly clean. He
took great attention to small details like finding a finned air
cleaner to match the GM finned aluminum valve covers. He fabricated
custom Z28 emblems to put on the valve covers. He spent the extra
money to replace the hoses in the engine compartment with GM hoses.
Everything on the car has been very well thought out and whoever
gets the privilege of owning this car next will not be disappointed
and will be buying one of the nicest and best cared for 1979
Camaros on the market.
The engine in the car is a built 3970010 block with roller rockers,
a mild cam, and Hedman HTC coated headers. Having driven many other
second-generation Camaros this car is very fast. A new Holley 600
CFM Street Avenger carburetor was installed earlier year on an
Edelbrock intake. It has Flowmaster Super 44 mufflers with
stainless tips, a Hurst Competition Plus shifter, Moroso 8mm wires,
Accel shorty performance spark plugs, and a newer AC Delco battery.
The previous owner had the driveshaft balanced and new u joints
installed recently. He also installed a 4-row radiator that was
flushed and pressure tested. During his time with the car
exclusively used Lucas 10-W40 engine oil with a Wix filter. He kept
detailed records and there are dozens of receipts that go with the
car.
This Z28 is finished in the beautiful and desirable color
combination of Dark Blue (29) over Black (24). This is the correct
and original color scheme as verified by the codes on the trim tag.
The low original mileage is shown as "Actual" on the clear Ohio
title. Please peruse all of the photos, video, and information in
this ad to get a true sense of clean and nice this Z28 really
is.
As a side note, this Z28 Camaro is not a dealer auction vehicle. We
hand pick each car after careful inspection. Our classics come from
owners who expect their cars to go to someone that will give the
vehicle the same care and attention as they did. We invite and
encourage you to examine the car in person or have the car
inspected. Please take the time to scrutinize each picture. We
photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so you can feel
confident about your purchase. If you have a question about the
Camaro, just give us a call.
Exterior
The Dark Blue (29) exterior is in excellent condition. As one can
see in the photos, the paint has an awesome gloss, dazzling shine,
and smooth finish. The trim and decals are in amazing condition
with no fading or peeling. The factory rally wheels are great
condition with a nice finish and no curb rash. The raised white
letter tires were installed by the previous owner so they only have
about 1,500 miles on them with plenty of tread left. The front
tires are 225/70R15 and the rear tires are 255/60R15 so the car has
a great stance. There are no major blemishes that have been
intentionally excluded from the photos. There are a couple small
spots on the front bumper and some other very tiny imperfections
around car that were too small to show up in pictures, but nothing
else that is really noticeable from about five or ten feet away. As
one can see in the many photos of the underside the bottom of the
car is clean. We have included specific photos of the spring
perches, rockers, lower quarter panels, and other areas most prone
to rust on a second generation Camaro to show how nice this car
looks.
Interior
The Black (24) interior of the Z28 is in fantastic condition. The
seats look just as great in person as they do in the photos with no
split seams, rips, or excessive wear. The seats are not overly worn
in the typical area on the bolster where the driver gets in and
out. The gauge faces are clean and crisp. The carpet is also in
excellent condition with no stains, rips, or holes. The door panels
are in good condition overall and fit well to the doors. The door
pulls are solid and intact. The RetroSound Laguna radio works well,
gets good reception, and looks great with a vintage look, but with
the benefits of modern technology. The stereo system also sounds
great with Kenwood 6x9 speakers. The dash looks great with no
cracks or sun fading. The package tray is in nice shape and not
faded or warped.
The trunk is clean, nicely detailed, and complete with the correct
space saver spare, inflater bottle, jack, jack base, and jack
handle. There is also a blue fire extinguisher with a GM logo on
it.
Camaro interiors from this era are not known to wear well and the
excellent condition of this interior is a huge testament to the
thoughtful care this car has received throughout it's life and
another great verification of low milage.
Mechanical
This Z28 seems is in excellent mechanical condition. As stated
above, the previous was meticulous with maintenance and did
anything to car that it ever needed. There are also dozens of
receipts and maintenance records for thousands of dollars. The
350ci starts right away every time, runs well, and idles smooth.
This Camaro is an exceptional driver that feels great on the road;
it handles awesome. In the video in this ad one can observe the car
accelerating on the highway up to about 65mph, shifting through all
the gears, braking to stoplight, and going through some curves.
Please note that there are no strange noises or vibrations and the
car performs quite well overall. The brakes are responsive and do
not pull to one side or the other. The shifter is tight, the
transmission does not pop out of gear, and the clutch feels good.
This Camaro has plenty of power and is quite fast. Also, the engine
compartment is beautifully clean and detailed as one can see in the
photos.
The horn works as do all the exterior lights, interior lights, dash
lights, indicators, wipers, rear window defogger, and the blower
for the heater on all speeds. Even detailed items like the glove
box light work. All of the gauges work with the obvious exception
of the clock. The previous owner installed a small aftermarket temp
gauge to more accurately monitor the engine temp, which has never
gotten too hot. The car now has a true dual exhaust system with no
catalytic converter and a very healthy exhaust note from the
Flowmater Super 44 mufflers as one can hear in the video. The car
came from the factory with air condi...for more information please
