INTRODUCTION: Only 63,375 original miles, this is an unabused
sweetheart! It starts right up and purrs, the power windows work
effortlessly and fit the top nicely, doors shut like new, radio
plays clearly. Loaded with very desirable options. Documented with
original invoice, window sticker, build sheet, warranty card and
booklet, copy of original title, registrations and more.
EXTERIOR: This is an exceptionally clean, straight, dry body. It's
only had one repaint! Smooth all the way down to the rockers,
everything lines up square and flush, the doors shut like a new
car. Repainted it's original Wimbledon White and has a glossy
finish. It has painted to match fender skirts included. Being an XL
it is loaded up with chrome and moldings. The trim is mostly
original and in exceptional shape: straight and shiny! The black
convertible power top looks very fresh. The jambs are clean and
original, the weatherstrips are still original. It even has the
original glass including the windshield. Someone did upgrade it
with 15 inch wheels and put the R code spinner hubcaps on it and a
set of Firestone radial tires.
INTERIOR: Not only does the red interior really pop against the
white, but it's in really nice shape and believe it or not it's all
original! Down on the floor it still has original carpet, floor
mats and optional seat belts. The original seat upholstery looks
great and has that cool chrome piping. The deluxe door panels are
in great shape, the brushed aluminum is clean and I love the way
you lay your arm on the armrest and pull the door handle. The
center console is in excellent shape, that's where you'll find the
power window switches and the best part of all: the factory
4-speed. The entire dash area is very clean, it has a padded dash
and padded visors. There are no cracks in the steering wheel;
instruments, knobs and trim all look fantastic. The Am-Fm radio
plays clearly. Next to the chrome a/c unit is an added cassette
player that works.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: There's a lot of good stuff under this hood
like air conditioning, power steering and power brakes. At the
heart of it is the Thunderbird Special 390 making 300hp. It runs
smooth as a sewing machine and it is all stock: the valve covers,
air cleaner, it even has reproduction spark plug wires. All of the
components are clean and proper. It has reproduction hoses and
clamps. All the metal surfaces are smooth and clean. It's a really
nice motor compartment!
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Clean and complete! Under the trunk lid and the
jamb still have original paint, it even has the original sticker
and weatherstrip. The original cadmium finish on the trunk latch is
still fresh looking! Inside is rock solid metal with original
paint. The original plaid insulated mat is still in great shape and
is being protected with a red carpet mat. Complete with an original
tire for a spare and the jack assembly.
UNDERSIDE: It appears to be very well preserved and serviced as
needed. We just inspected the car and replaced the idler arm,
someone upgraded it with coilover rear shocks. It has dual exhaust
with mufflers and resonators. Brakes are in good working order,
e-brake is hooked up. Looking up at the motor it is actually very
clean, it has the correct canister type fuel filter. The 4-speed
transmission looks very clean too and still has factory stencil
markings. In back it has 3.25 traction lock gears. The floors
appear to be rock solid original metal.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we
built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and
hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car
we sell.
CONCLUSION: There is not another out there like this one. The
options and original qualities will not be found on any other. This
is a rare opportunity, don't miss it!
For nearly 30 years, I, Jay Grams, have personally written the
highlights for almost every car in our collection. What I provide
is my professional opinion based on my experience with these
vehicles. However, opinions can vary, and I strongly recommend a
personal inspection to form your own view. Our sales team is always
available to answer any questions you may have. One great option is
to request a personalized walk-around video, where we can showcase
the car and share our team's insights. **Our cars are displayed
within a museum setting. If you are interested in a specific
vehicle, please schedule an appointment with a salesperson to view
it. Without an appointment, there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you decide to purchase a car, your admission will be
refunded, and you'll receive a one-year museum membership.
