For Sale at Auction: 1967 Kaiser Jeep in Eden, Utah

Vehicle Description

1967 Kaiser-Jeep M715 Pickup

VIN:  12668

This 1967 Kaiser Jeep M715 (VIN: 12668) is a military-spec 1¼-ton 4×4 finished in white with a tan fabric soft top over military green cloth captain’s chairs and is powered by a small-block Chevrolet 350ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission and dual-range transfer case. The truck was acquired by the seller in 2017 and has been garage-kept since. It shows 1,172 miles, with the mileage at the time of the engine swap unknown. The engine conversion was completed prior to the seller’s ownership.

The 350ci V8 is said to have been previously rebuilt and is equipped with approximately 10.5:1 compression pistons, a Crower RV grind camshaft with matched lifters, rockers and push rods, an Edelbrock intake manifold, a 600-CFM Holley single pump four-barrel carburetor and a Mallory electronic ignition. The heads and intake manifold were ported, polished and port matched to each other (including the exhaust headers) and the engine is said to require premium-grade gasoline. The truck retains its stock military four-speed transmission, transfer case, and axles.

Developed as the U.S. military’s replacement for the Dodge M37, the M715 — nicknamed the “Five-Quarter” — was produced by Kaiser Jeep from 1967 to 1969 for tactical service including deployment in Vietnam. It was the first U.S. military tactical vehicle based on a civilian Jeep platform, derived from the J-series Gladiator pickup.

Equipment includes a removable tan canvas soft top, manually locking front hubs and the factory 24-volt dual-battery electrical system. Seller added a 12V converter to the distributor to protect the distributor and coil. Two five-gallon Jerry cans are mounted on either side of the cargo bed.

Steel wheels wear Super Swamper TSL 16/35.5-16.5 tires.  Both batteries were replaced in 2022. The seller states the truck runs and drives well and shifts smoothly through all gears. The body and frame display isolated surface rust consistent with age, and detailed frame photos are provided in the gallery.

The interior features military green cloth captain’s chairs and retains its original metal dashboard and data plates. The factory instrument cluster includes a 60-mph speedometer, battery level gauge, engine temperature gauge, fuel level gauge, and oil pressure gauge.

This M715 is offered with 1,172 indicated miles, dual batteries replaced in 2022, underside/frame photos in the gallery, and a clean Utah title.
