USA SPEC LIGHTS.According to the renown 'Automotive Information
Clearinghouse' of La Mesa, California, certificate as of 2/24/1989
states that only 1,296 of these particular early Austin Healeys
were left with obviously far less available now some 36 years
later! These certified milestone cars are becoming thinner on the
ground every year that passes and therefore will undoubtedly prove
a very worthy investment to the astute collector. The previous owner
reportedly purchased the car in 2012 and it then underwent a 8 year
body off restoration until fully restored. The odometer reads 4,466
miles which has been reported by previous ownership to be original
and is believed to be but please note that as there is no
documentation to support this fact going back to 1960, that
therefore the actual mileage will have to be considered as "true
mileage unknown".This is one phenomenal example with the engine
smooth and responsive with the renown Healey rumble identifying the
Healey straight six as much as a Ferrari's sound does it's V12! The
4 speed transmission with the highly desirable Overdrive option
shifts smoothly through all the gears, including the reverse gear
and the overdrive function works as it should which means it works
through all the gears and not just as a fifth speed which is great
for highway driving! The car looks extremely impressive in its
striking and original 'Ivory White' paint and the reupholstered
Blue interior with White piping is in exceptional condition also
with original gold type gauges which are all in correct working
order! The new black soft top is in great shape, both functionally
and otherwise and the car boasts its side curtains. The car had
four chrome wire knock off wheels with new tires and a spare wire
wheel in its correctly mounted position in the trunk. As stated
earlier, the engine is extremely strong and powerful and sounds
absolutely magnificent - this is a rare opportunity to own a great
daily driving BT-7 2+2 roadster - perfect for the Austin-Healey
enthusiast or simply a perfect daily driver for any British sports
car enthusiast or collector!
