An extensive restoration and customization work was performed on the Land Rover Defender 130 TD5, built in 2000. The vehicle was delivered to us in a critical condition, heavily affected by rust on the chassis, doors, and body panels, combined with aged and worn-out mechanical components. Through a complete mechanical overhaul and a bespoke customization process, we successfully transformed the Defender into a reliable, structurally sound, and uniquely styled vehicle, while preserving its heritage as an iconic off-road machine.
Initial Condition:
• Severe corrosion across chassis, doors, and bulkhead.
• Rust damage compromising structural integrity.
• Worn-out mechanical parts, unsafe braking system, and unreliable suspension.
• Interior aged and deteriorated.
Mechanical Works Performed:
• Replacement of clutch kit and flywheel.
• New braking system: front and rear brake discs, pads, master brake pump, and upgraded +5 cm braided aeronautical brake lines.
• New clutch pump.
• Replacement of crankshaft pulley and belt tensioner.
• New serpentine belt.
• New alternator and a Completely new exhaust system.
• New anti-roll bars.
• Reinforced gold stabilizer bars.
• New Panhard rod.
• New steering ball joints.
• New silent blocks.
• Galvanized front shock absorber turrets.
• Reinforced “Terrafirma” steering damper.
• Suspension lift kit: new +5 cm springs and shock absorbers.
• New power steering hose.
• New 100Ah battery.
• BFG Mud Terrain 35” tires.
• New steel wheels with new bolts.
• New engine and gearbox mounts.
• Complete service & fluids: air filter, fuel filter, Castrol Edge 5W-30 oil (7 liters).
Customization & Aesthetic Works:
• Full repaint in original Land Rover Aintree Green 886.
• Roof and wheels repainted in gloss black.
• Interior floor covered in black carpet.
• Roof lining covered in black fabric.
• Upholstery in brown diamond-stitched vinyl.
• Front bumper with integrated LED spotlights.
