refurbished. Finished in red over red vinyl, the car is powered by
a turbocharged 145ci flat-six paired with a four-speed manual
transaxle. Equipment includes drum brakes, 14? steel wheels, chrome
bumpers, a louvered decklid, a cabin heater, crank windows, and an
AM radio. This Monza Spyder coupe shows 84k miles. The Corvair was
the first unibody model produced by Fisher Body. This coupe left
the factory finished in Adobe Beige and was refinished under
previous ownership in red. Exterior details include chrome bumpers
with overriders as well as bright trim, quarter vent windows, dual
side mirrors, and a louvered decklid.
Interior:
The front bucket seats and rear bench are trimmed in red vinyl.
Appointments include a cabin heater, crank windows, and an AM
radio. The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer,
a 6k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for manifold pressure, cylinder
head temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 84k
miles.
Exterior:
The 14? steel wheels wear wire-spoke hubcaps with faux two-eared
knock-off spinners and are mounted with Road Hugger Radial G/T
tires. The Corvair's factory independent suspension utilized coil
springs all around and swing axles at the rear. Stopping power is
provided by four-wheel drums.
Drivetrain:
The rear-mounted, air-cooled, and turbocharged 145ci flat-six was
factory rated at 150 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque and
features a Carter sidedraft carburetor in addition to a polished
air cleaner, turbocharger heat shield, and intake manifold. The
engine is said to have been resealed under previous ownership, and
